As I recall I started paying $7.95/trade but because I passed some threshold I am now only paying $6.95/trade and get free trades quite often. Its a new broker on the market with new features coming out every day. To try something new and compare brokers I also signed up for Kapitall. Kapitall – Free until you want to do live trading TWTR option chain on (It should show the 5 puts 40$ strike I have… But that is sogotrade) After you sign in with your username/password you have to type in your pin on a random numpad that generates its numbers in different sequences. They have option trading tool to help you calculate probability, value, etc… Those actually are kind of neat features.I had to write python scripts to convert their pdf information that I copy/pasted to text to put into the tax form format. They have lost data on my stock information not once, but twice.Signing up with them is a horrible experience, I remember I had to fax them papers and their system was awful. There is absolute bliss in risking $500-$1000 for the chance of a 500%+ gain (or lose it all). I’m a 25 year old with no kids, small student loans, and a decent pay check. I absolutely am hooked on options trading. They have a prepaid package where you can buy 10 trades for $40 ($4.00/trade) that is some of the cheapest commission rates on the internet. If you’re looking for great support, no downtime, nothing wrong, and a pretty interface – move along. Sogotrade is a cheap website… And it has its pros and cons. Sogotrade – Free, but expensive when you start trading options. They are both different in their own ways, so I’d love to discuss my experiences with both. If you’re reading this you probably trade stocks on the side and you hopefully don’t work at a hedgefund, you boys should have your own resources… In this post I’m going to discuss a bit about my my resources that I use on the web.
